KCOM Enterprise has been appointed to YPO’s new 1229 Framework for Connectivity and Telecommunications Services, in a move that boosts delivery of services to major public sector organisations in Yorkshire and beyond.

CityFibre has deployed its 100th Fibre Exchange (FEX), enabling the delivery of live broadband services to 4.8 million premises.
The FEXs act as a micro-edge data centre and enable CityFibre partners to utilise edge computing technology.
Each unit is roughly the size of a shipping container and able to serve connections to up to 60,000 premises at full capacity.
The sites are served by two geographically diverse fibre routes for network resilience and support the co-location requirements of CityFibre’s partners.
David Tomalin, Group CTO, said: “Fibre Exchanges are the beating heart of our local networks. Only when the optimum location for a FEX has been secured for long term use can the core network designs in each area be locked down ready for build to begin.”
