nexfibre has published its latest quarterly build update (Q1 2025), which shows its 10GBps FTTP/XGS-PON broadband network now covers 2.2m UK premises, with scaled back coverage target for 2025 to 2.5m premises passed, reducing future build plans for the next year.

Netomnia is making a £66m combined investment to connect around 218,000 premises across Hoddesdon, Bishop Auckland, Castleford, Macclesfield and Didcot.
The full-fibre network which is already being built as Netomnia continues towards its initial target of reaching one million premises.
Zoltan Kovacs, MD at Netomnia, said: “We know how empowering excellent internet access can be and are working hard to level the digital playing field.”
