Openreach is celebrating the milestone of reaching 90% coverage of its full fibre rollout across Northern Ireland – with the region becoming the first within the Openreach UK network to hit this target.

Netomnia has now made more than 500,000 homes and businesses ready for service, with sister-company YouFibre now serving more than 40,000 customers.
The altnet passed more than 125,000 properties in Q2 of 2023 and is building at a rate of 500,000 homes and businesses per year.
CEO Jeremy Chelot (pictured) said: “This is just the first step in our ambitious growth strategy to hit one million homes and businesses within the next 12 months.
“We believe that everyone in the UK should be able to access broadband that empowers them to unleash their full potential.”
