The latest figures from the National Farmers’ Union reveals that farmers are being left behind because of the high cost of installing full fibre broadband in rural areas, according to a story on the BBC.

CityFibre has completed the primary-build of its full fibre network in Dundee, connecting over 58,000 homes to faster broadband.
Construction began on the £40m project in 2021, with the primary build now complete, and CityFibre has since laid over 488km of dense full fibre infrastructure across the city.
In Dundee, CityFibre also secured its first public-sector contract in 2021, connecting more than 25 public sector sites across the city, and the altnet provider will continue to explore opportunities to connect more homes and businesses.
Paul Wakefield, Senior Partnership Manager at CityFibre, said: “The completion of our full-fibre primary build in Dundee and this rollout marks a significant step for the city’s connectivity.”
