AllPoints Fibre Networks (APFN) has completed the consolidation of Giganet, Jurassic Fibre, Swish Fibre, the original AllPoints Fibre, and Cuckoo into a single group, with APFN (a wholesale business) and Cuckoo (a retail business) now operating as self-standing companies.

Lit Fibre has added a broadband jargon buster to its website to combat confusion caused by complex acronyms and years of providers misbranding fibre.
Research from the altnet found that a quarter of Brits find the term full-fibre confusing, with 10% admitting they have no idea what it means.
Ofcom research also found that more than a quarter (27%) of broadband customers lacked confidence in understanding the language and terminology used by providers.
Lit Fibre’s translator tool will define technical terminology like ethernet cable, full-fibre, fibre optic, as well as commonly used acronyms such as FTTP, ADSL, and FTTC.
Avril Webster, Commercial Director at Lit Fibre says: “The term 'full-fibre' has been carelessly thrown around by the industry, leading to unnecessary confusion.
“We want to empower people to navigate the online world with confidence and make their lives a little bit smoother."
