Openreach is deploying Adtran’s FSP 3000 open optical transport technology to power its new business service.
The solution is designed to make fibre accessible to more UK businesses and bring efficiency benefits that reduce capital and operational expenditure.
Simon Williams, head of optical products at Openreach, said: “Corporate cloud applications and other data-intensive tasks such as data centre backhaul are fuelling a growing demand for bandwidth.”
The collaboration builds on more than a decade of partnership between Adtran and Openreach.
