Openreach is helping more than 140,000 homes and businesses across Cardiff to access full fibre broadband, thanks to its nationwide full fibre rollout, with around 80 per cent of properties across the city connected to ultra-fast speeds.

Openreach has helped more than 30,000 homes and businesses in Wakefield connect to high-speed broadband technology, following completion of full fibre rollout in the area.
Faster broadband now reaches around 85 per cent of properties across the city, giving a more reliable connection.
Kasam Hussain, Openreach’s Regional Director in Yorkshire, said: “We believe that this new network will give businesses an edge and provide families and home-workers with future-proof connectivity.”
Openreach’s full fibre network now reaches more than 17 million properties, and the company plans to extend this to 25 million homes and businesses by the end of 2026, hoping to connect around 30 million by the end of the decade with the right investment conditions.
